Aristo Pangaribuan specializes in criminal and civil dispute resolution. His extensive experience focuses primarily on criminal law and commercial litigation. He has also worked as a Defence Counsel assistant for the International Criminal Court in 2011-2012.
His clients include or have included multi-national, national, regional, and local companies involved in many different industries, including construction, financial services, energy, retail, and sports. Aristo Pangaribuan is also a lecturer at the University of Indonesia Law School teaching criminal justice and civil procedural law. He was appointed as a Legal Director for the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) in 2013 through 2016. He served as the Director of the Faculty of Law University of Indonesia’s Legal Aid Institution (Lembaga Konsultasi dan Bantuan Hukum) in 2015 through 2018.
He obtained his bachelor’s degree (Bachelor of Law) from the University of Indonesia Law School and his master’s degree (LL.M) from Utrecht University, the Netherlands. He is now a doctoral candidate at the University of Washington, Seattle, focusing on the Indonesian criminal justice reform, with expected graduation in 2021.
