Aristo Pangaribuan specializes in criminal and civil dispute resolution. His extensive experience focuses primarily on criminal law and commercial litigation. He is also a registered receiver and administrator in bankruptcy.
His clients include multi-national, national, regional, and local companies involved in many different industries, including construction, financial services, energy, retail, and sports. Moreover, he has also advised several foreign embassies in Jakarta.
Aristo Pangaribuan is also a lecturer at the University of Indonesia Law School, teaching criminal justice and civil procedural law. He was appointed Legal Director for the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) from 2013 through 2016. He served as the Director of the Faculty of Law University of Indonesia’s Legal Aid Institution (Lembaga Konsultasi dan Bantuan Hukum) from 2015 through 2018. He has also worked as a Defense Counsel assistant for the International Criminal Court from 2011-2012.
He obtained his bachelor’s degree (Bachelor of Law) from the University of Indonesia Law School and his master’s degree (LL.M) from Utrecht University, the Netherlands. He also holds a doctoral degree in law from the University of Washington, Seattle.
